The Stylist's Notebook

Georgia weas the Ischia Dress and carries the Bateau Bag

Traveling around the world to shoot our campaigns has been—and will always be—one of the most special parts of what we do, and we are so grateful to be able to bring our pieces to life in the places that inspire us the most. For our Spring campaign, we headed to the idyllic St. Barths, and, like all of our shoots, it was a family affair: our friend Victor Demarchelier photographed muse Georgia Fowler and her daughter, Dylan—and Victor’s wife, Héloïse, jumped in to help style and photo assist.

From sneaking in ocean dips whenever we could to shell-hunting and bird-feeding with the little ones in between takes, what always emerges is both stylist-and-model collaboration, and a desire to style the pieces in a way that both feels very of-the-moment. Below, a few of our favorite styling equations from the shoot…

THE PERFECT PAIRING

For temperate weather, our favorite outfitting combination is silks and knits, creating a juxtaposition of textures that feels just right as we transition into warmer days. For a playful touch, we love mixing in a printed piece, like our Laurie Skirt in a nostalgic Hepburn Dot.

THE MODERN-DAY TWIN SET

We stumbled upon this styling cue when shooting our pointelle knits from Prelude and returned to it again for Spring—the cashmere Louden Top and Claudine Cardigan are a '50s-inspired set, offered in a bright Carmine and Light Kelly Green.

A FIFTIES FEEL

Channeling our muses from the late ‘50s, we reached for cropped trousers like the Lula Pant (plus an extra-cropped version, our Lula Capri Pant, which arrives with a future Spring chapter!), styling them with everything from fluffy alpaca sweaters and cardigans to boatneck tees.

THE FINISHING TOUCHES

The elements that pull together a warm-weather look never tire: a thin belt, basket bags (like our Grande Mathilde Bag or new Bateau Bag), and colorful kitten heels.
