Since we first launched Dôen in 2016, giving back to the organizations we hold dear to our hearts has been a consistent priority and goal we work to honor each and every day. In December of 2016 we decided to celebrate our first year as a company by hosting a holiday party fundraiser with friends and family and donating all proceeds to Planned Parenthood Los Angeles. We had so much fun that it became a yearly tradition – growing bigger and better year after year!

This year, in collaboration with our dear friends Marc and Med, we hosted the event at The Spare Room in Hollywood – a glowing, wood paneled parlor with two adorable vintage bowling lanes. The night was filled with luminous rainbow tea lights, tarot card readings by the amazing Erin, gutter balls/strikes, and lots and lots of dancing.

We are thrilled to share that thanks to everyone who was able to attend, we raised over $4,000 for PPLA! In combination with the proceeds from our Giving Thanks Sale (we raised over $4,000 from your orders!), we have generated a total of over $8,000 for Planned Parenthood LA this month alone! Courtesy of a generous LA family, who is matching all donations for the month of December, our final donation will be over $16,000! Thank you to everyone who has helped us to support this incredible organization – we couldn’t be more proud of our generous and loving community.
