We are seeking an exceptional Warehouse Manager for the Night Shift in Burbank, CA. The Night Shift Warehouse Manager will manage the overall functions of our Distribution Center; will coordinate activities for the department; and will work with Logistics on determining shipping and receiving priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules utilizing knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.

 Responsibilities:

  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Responsible for weekly cycle counts, end of month counts and end of year physical
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, put-away, transfers, replenishment, and, most importantly, the growing E-Commerce area
  • Oversee the picking, pulling, and shipping of merchandise for outbound shipping; verify that the items pulled match the corresponding sales orders and pick tickets
  • Maintain that workloads remain consistent with growing sales and shipping goals
  • Ensure efficient warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination with other departments
  • Support the company’s expansion of its E-Commerce fulfillment, warehouse operations, and general warehouse efficiency
  • Work with office to ensure compliance with shipping and receiving specifications
  • Inspect shipping labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders ensuring accuracy
  • Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas
  • Supervise and lead all reporting staff (warehouse clerks – pickers, packers, shippers)
  • Meet productivity standards, complete work in a timely manner, and strive to increase productivity
  • Report problems, poor areas-of-control, violations, and other issues pertaining to safety, inefficient workflow, and inaccurate inventory reporting
  • Maintain high-levels of accuracy in daily operations, including inventory and orders
  • Research, identify, and present new ideas to improve warehouse operations
  • Manage and motivate warehouse staff through means of coaching, counseling, and goal setting
  • Plan, monitor, and appraise warehouse employee job results
  • Maintain a clear and organized work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3 -5 years of Shipping & Receiving management/supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • WMS or ERP systems experience
  • MUST have strong knowledge of E-Commerce and Direct-to-Consumer Fulfillment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, teach, train, mentor others
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • High prioritization of teamwork, while displaying the utmost respect for all staff
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • High level of integrity
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast pace environment while maintaining a high level of efficiency and professionalism with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
  • Ability to physically lift, move, and handle weights up to 50lbs on a daily basis
