TECHNICAL DESIGN ASSOCIATE
Dôen is seeking a detailed oriented and highly organized Technical Design Associate to join our team on a full-time basis in North Hollywood. The ideal candidate will work closely with Director of Technical Design by supporting in fittings, measuring fit comments to send to vendors, and evaluating samples.
-Create development tech packs from scratch and work on fit comments for Proto's through PP approval
-Work closely w/ PD teams to ensure accurate design and fit intent is understood and followed
-Work with production team to ensure fit approval deadlines are met
-Prep for fittings ensuring all previous fit bodies, notes and inspiration pieces are present for design and production reference
-Communicate clear correspondence daily with import vendors
-2-3 years technical design experience in development and production
-Degree in Fashion Design or Product Development
-Woven's experience is a must
-Proficient in photoshop, illustrator and excel
-Full comprehension of sewing construction
-Ability to identify fundamental fit issues stemming from pattern imbalance
-Basic understanding of grade rules and graded specs
-Light pattern-making ability a plus
-Deadline oriented with ability to adhere to time and action calendars
-Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
-Work well in team environment but also independently
-Self-motivated and proactive
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Willingness to take direction and guide assistant techs as needed
