RE-COMMERCE SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER


Responsibilities:

Re-commerce Program Oversight:

  • Project management of DÔEN’s re-commerce program. This includes:
    • Overseeing quarterly re-commerce product launches and daily used product acquisition efforts
    • Manage relationships with re-commerce external vendor partners
    • Serving as the accountable point person responsible for the re-commerce program to all stakeholders including Ops, DC, Marketing, E-commerce, Customer Care and Executive teams
    • Collaborating with the Finance team to develop financial metrics and reporting requirements to monitor and manage the financial success of the re-commerce program. Specifically, this will include ownership of the re-commerce P&L
    • Creation and management of meaningful metrics and KPIs to make actionable intelligence available to business stakeholders, identify areas of improvement and success and continually evolve long and short term goals
    • Identifying and researching opportunities to expand DÔEN’s circularity programming including repair service
    • Other essential re-commerce functions include:
      • Working with the Planning team to develop and maintain resale price list
      • Monitoring effectiveness of SKU convention and single sku management SOP in ERP system
      • Tracking and monitoring re-commerce photography needs based on sales analysis and customer feedback with support of a Customer Care and Warehouse Ops Coordinators
      • Working with the Production team to continue to evolve product labeling and quality based on re-commerce program feedback
      • Working with Director of Impact and sustainability support staff to estimate environmental savings of keeping products in use
      • Providing training to new employees as needed

    Systems Integration and Management:

    • Collaborate with the E-comm/Ops/DC Team to formulate an inventory strategy that maximizes all used inventory. Evaluate and propose creative or unconventional solutions to resolve issues in inventory acquisition and distribution
    • Perform day to day tasks revolving around re-commerce operations including daily communication within cross-departmental and external parties (Gladly, Shopify, etc.)
    • Work with Ops and DC to develop and continually evaluate operations procedures and processes to refine the most efficient re-commerce supply chain for acquiring, processing and reselling clothing
      • Develop and document workflows to streamline processes
      • Compare processes with industry standards and best practices
    • Oversee all aspects of product setup and maintenance process including data entry, image upload, editing product descriptions and product categorization and up-sells across product categories
    • Conduct meetings with E-comm/Ops/DC teams to discuss any operational issues, performance issues or fulfillment issues
    • Liaison with Customer Service team to troubleshoot and resolve issues included but not limited to: product issues, claims and/or complaints

    Marketing:

    • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Teams to implement a digital re-commerce platform with a sales and distribution schedule that maximizes sales and marketing opportunities including customer acquisition and retention. This could include features such as “in search of”, loyalty programming and more
    • Develop a yearly marketing calendar that integrates with and leverages mainline messaging and product launches
    • Develop a marketing strategy and supporting content concepts that will drive inventory acquisition and sales of used clothing.
    • Work with brand creative and marketing teams to design sales collections and build marketing campaigns to execute recruitment of specific styles such as a wedding shop or an influencer’s closet sale.
    • Measure and track the re-commerce program’s effectiveness in bringing new customers to the brand
    • Convey the range of benefits of re-commerce including environmental, financial and community/emotional effectively to customers
    • Communicate with creative and brand marketing team to ensure assets are to brand specifications and timely deliverables are met
    • Measure effectiveness of marketing tactics and adjust accordingly

    Skills:

    • 3-5 years operations, e-commerce or retail and/or re-commerce business environment experience
    • Ability to work effectively including gaining proficiency in new and emerging businesses
    • Takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities
    • Keen strategic point of view and the ability to clearly communicate strategies, analyses and business insights cross-functionally through written work and oral presentations
    • Demonstrated creativity in program or business development
    • Accurate, detail oriented, and organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
    • Acts with sense of urgency and consistently follows up, understands, and meets deadlines
    • Collaborator and team player who is willing to get involved to help the larger vision
    • Supervisory experience in fashion industry
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Extensive fashion knowledge including familiarity with labels, brands, designers, and current trends.
    • Similar industry experience (re-commerce, thrift, buy-sell-trade- and/or consignment experience a PLUS)
    • Keen understanding of e-commerce sales operations and activities
    • Ability to lead/collaborate with direct reports and cross-functional team
    • Ability to work well both independently and in a collaborative team setting
    • High degree of accuracy, organizational and communication skills, detailed oriented and strong team player
    • This role will be an LA Based Hybrid Work Schedule with minimum 3 days in office, reporting to our Distribution Center/Warehouse.
    • Start date for this position is 7/1/2022
