The Dôen E-Commerce Manager will own the online sales channel for a rapidly growing, direct-to-consumer high end contemporary women’s and children's lifestyle brand.
They will manage our marketing agency and digital advertising budget, new product launches, on-site customer experience and site merchandising.
This role will work cross functionally with Content, Customer Care, Operations, and Production to ensure organized and anticipated product launches, as well as exceptional customer experience.
Technical Understanding - stay current with the online marketing environment and adapt their strategy to keep pace with the competition in their field. Maintain websites, particularly advertising and content elements
Professionalism - collaborate with content developers, fellow businesses and customers
Self-Starter - carry out strategic online marketing plans, taking charge of our organization’s e-commerce division and reporting to upper management
Leadership - work with content for website design, market research, budgeting, interviewing and training new recruits and presenting project designs to upper management
Responsibilities & Duties
Responsible for overseeing and managing the e-commerce department of a company with a significant online presence, including decision making for the website, social media accounts, and online advertising. They will also be responsible for research and development of new online marketing strategies, and for hiring and training the rest of the e-commerce division.
The E-commerce Manager will be responsible for determining the format and features of the website in order to maximize clarity and ease of navigation for customers. They will liaise with the Web designers to develop and alter the website as needed.
The E-commerce Manager will keep abreast of new developments in the e-marketing world. They will also research the company’s core demographics and how to best reach them, in order to maximize search engine traffic and the effect of the company’s targeted ad buys.
Set budget from upper management for their department. The job of an e-commerce manager is to plan for e-marketing expenditures well in advance and develop a financial plan that will maximize their resources.
The E-commerce Manager will liaise directly with upper management and present their plans for any new advances or initiatives to improve the company’s online presence and e-sales.
