DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Communaute LLC dba Dôen is seeking a versatile and experienced Director of Operations to oversee daily operations and develop long-term operational strategy to ensure growth and productivity.  Strong leadership, coaching and management skills are required, as this role will manage multiple cross-functional teams and create process for Distribution/Logistics, Customer Experience, Wholesale Partnerships, Retail Ops, Inventory and E-Commerce Ops.
This role will be responsible for managing and negotiating operating expenses and will partner with Finance to create and revise budgets as needed for presentation and approval by executive team.  The Director of Operations will work closely with all senior management to ensure that company objectives are strategically created, executed, and met.  The role is responsible for creating documentation of all processes to ensure that consistent, effective workflows are in place to create optimal productivity and a collaborative company culture.  The Director of Ops is responsible for partnering with all departmental managers to ensure that new team members are trained in accordance with correct departmental procedures.   Strong knowledge of ERP systems and ability to project manage operational software implementations and customizations is required.

-Strong interpersonal skills - ability to create productive, long term, respectful and reciprocal relationships with vendors, consultants, and internal team
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to create clear, polished, and effective documentation of workflows and procedures.
-Strong internal and external contract negotiation skills.  Experience working with internal and outside counsel to review and revise leases, contracts and other documents for executive approval.
-Expense control and budgeting
-Strong analytical and reporting skills, ability to manipulate/evaluate data to make operational decisions.
-Partner with product team to make sure that profit margins on product is achieved on a seasonal basis.
-Flexible, ability to pivot to address changing needs of organization and rapidly shifting market demands
-Strong knowledge of Women’s Contemporary, Designer, or Direct to Consumer markets and ability to advise on comps for opex and to hire vetted consultants as needed.
-Experience working in and implementing operational software/EPR systems
-Sound judgement and decision making skills.
-Innovative problem solving skills and ability to remain grounded.

Responsibilities:
-Oversee daily operations
-Oversee Distribution, Logistics, Customer Experience, Wholesale Partnerships, Retail Ops, Inventory and E-Commerce.
-Creation and implementation of workflows and processes
-Create long term operational strategy to ensure growth and productivity
-Regularly identify and target areas in which organization can improve operational processes
-Monitoring revenue margins
-Overseeing employee productivity, creating a culture of mentorship and coaching with departmental managers
-Budgeting for approval of executive team
-Developing and implementing guidelines for employee evaluations, recruitment and promotion
-Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
-Create processes for Retail Ops as Company expands retail sales channel
-Partner with Production and Logistics to review and update Vendor Guide
-Ensure that company operations are in compliance with domestic and international regulations. Consult appropriate contractors as needed.
-Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
-Manage leases for all facilities, alerting executive team to timeline requirements for giving notices for renewals or lease terminations.

Requirements:
-Proven experience as Director of Operations/Sales/Product/Marketing/Finance or equivalent position
-Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
-Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
-BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus OR equivalent work experience
-Solid references
