Woodland Exploring with Katie Hintz-Zambrano and Diego
I first got to connect with Katie Hintz-Zambrano back when Brett and I lived in Laurel Canyon - we were shot for Mother, the fantastic online mama site that Katie co-founded along with our friend James. As Mother’s Editor, Katie has inspired us for so long with her smart business sense and commitment to her lovely family. Her well-written, thoughtful profiles for Mother transcend the usual questions, bringing a unique depth to the topics of motherhood, family, being a woman and more. Since our launch, Katie, James and Mother have been great friends to Dôen - featuring KK back in June and introducing us to our dear photographer friend and mama Nicki Sebastian. Katie and the community she has built with Mother have really become like family to us. We finally got to meet in person at the West Coast Craft Fair this November, and it was such a pleasure to get to speak with her and find out more about her next ventures. She’s soon to launch a Bay Area-based conference for mothers, while also heading up the Cool Moms Club, a group for mothers that she started with six members four years ago that has now expanded to 400+ creative women with a waitlist! We were so thrilled when Katie and her adorable sweet Diego agreed to shoot a Journal in their stomping grounds in the woodlands of San Francisco’s Presidio National Park. See more below.
