Michele Ouelette – Rosé Queen and Golden Human
I'm that person who talks to my mom daily. Sometimes a few times a day. To and from work. It's been like that since as long as I can remember. She used to pick me up before I could drive in middle school and surprise me by taking me for tea and scones. She met us in Washington for the Women's March. To say the least, she is one of my most favorite people who I look up to (she literally always has the best advice). When I first learned of Michele and how she and her mom have a Rosé company together (they donated cases to our Holiday Planned Parenthood Fundraiser), I couldn't help but think what an awesome experience that would be. Working with Katherine and Margaret - sisters - has really shown me how amazing it can be to work with family. Caring for one another, getting over issues fast, knowing each other in a different way - that’s something that most people don't get to experience.
Michele herself is an inspiring soul. She is hard working, kind-hearted, and fun, a girl you just want to be around. As a working model from a young age, Michele has been around the world, working with everyone under the sun, yet she remains the most grounded California girl who throws on Vans with everything and loves to surf. Growing up in Napa Valley wine country, it was an easy choice to go into the wine business with her mom. They have kept it simple and family run, focusing only on one wine: Rosé (it's the lightest, prettiest pink shade and has the perfect taste for warm summer days) with a signature rose designed by her brother. To me, Rosé matches Michele’s personality and aura perfectly: comforting, social, beautiful, light/breezy, sunshine.
I met Michele at her hotel when she was in Los Angeles recently, the Standard in West Hollywood, where she stayed on her very first trip to Los Angeles with her mom when she first began modeling. See below for the images taken on film, and to purchase some Lorenza for these warmer months click here!
