Odette and I met when we were 19. Right away I was drawn to Odette’s infectious warmth and fun personality, and inspired by her drive and talent. Late nights, impromptu dance parties and fun friends were a staple in the old Victorian house Odie shared with her closest friends in Hollywood, an ideal backdrop for those times. The fun never distracted from the undeniable drive and talent Odette had for acting...I never had any doubt she would reach the heights she has in her acting career, and all while starting a beautiful family. Success could not have come for a lovelier and more deserving person. We’ve floated in and out of each other’s lives over the years, a random run-in here or there, and it was so exciting to have the opportunity to meet up again for this journal. Odette welcomed us into her home like no time had passed, dancing through the shoot in her own effortless way with a baby on her hip and our wispy silks floating behind her. We sat, drank wine, and talked about babies and life, denouncing societal pressures surrounding motherhood. Her confidence, poise, and drive have inspired me for 10+ years and still inspire me now.
