Being pregnant and having children was one of the things that gave us the drive and motivation to create Dôen - inspired by how in touch we became with our bodies, our femininity, and our strength as women. We have celebrated this since starting Dôen, creating pieces with an eye toward being worn during maternity and after, pieces we craved during these transformative stages of life. Our first Journal featured Narelle and her son Oliver, and we had to find a way to celebrate her second pregnancy (a girl this time!), which came to fruition in an afternoon filled with warm sun and naked babes running free (Wilder and Oliver) just weeks before her due date.
