Denim on Friends

For years, the thrill of the hunt for that perfect pair of vintage jeans—the kind that fits just right and has that perfect fade, broken in just so—was what fueled our vintage shopping and flea market field trips. We designed our very first pair of jeans in Spring 2016, gathering years of denim hunting to create the jean of our dreams.

Since then, we’ve continued to fine-tune the fit, adding more styles to our collection when we felt like we got it just right. This winter, we’re excited to add two new styles to our DÔEN Denim family–the straight-let Shep in an inky Basalt wash and the bootcut Willow in a perfectly faded Lampasas wash. Both are medium-rise, with that coveted lived-in feel–and like all of our tried-and-true jeans, they're crafted with love and care right here in Los Angeles. Below, see how a few of our friends have been living in our jeans and making them their own.

Amanda wears the Diana Jean in Biarritz Wash

The Diana

Inspired by our constant quest for the perfect pair of five-pocket jeans, the Diana features a high-rise, button fly, and classic straight leg. They’ll soften with wear, so size down for a snug fit.

Constanze wears the Shep Jean in Basalt

The Shep

With its medium rise, classic straight leg, and slouchy cut, the Shep conjures the off-duty style of our favorite ‘90s supermodels. We love pairing it with the Petra Cardigan, buttoned with just one button. Size up for an even more relaxed look.

Chase wears the Melody Jean in Albi Wash with the Mia Henley

The Melody

Ultra high-rise, cropped, and with a dash of ‘70s flare, the long-lined Melody is the jean to put on when you want to highlight a bit of ankle or great shoe. The backside features shield pockets, and the zip-fly front is fastened with a copper shank button closure.

Jessica wears the Willow Jean in Lampasas Wash with the Aniene Vest and the Amadea Top

The Willow

Fitted through the thighs, the medium-rise Willow features a V-shaped waist and flares out below the knee into a cropped boot-cut leg, giving it a Western feel. Lean into the look by pairing it with a belt like the Vero and a trusty ankle boot like the Normandy.

Emily wears the Dronme Jean in Cascade Wash and the Joliette Top

The Dronme

Designed in collaboration with our dear friend and longtime muse, Dronme Davis, this high-waisted, straight-leg jean was inspired by a vintage pair she’d long loved and worn to till they were threadbare. With a hint of stretch, pointed back pockets, and a brass button and zip-fly, these are available in extended sizing.

Anny wears the Lady Jean in Rinse Wash with the Neva Cardigan

The Lady

With an ultra-high V-shaped waist, a full button fly, and wide barrel legs that taper at the cuffs, the beloved Lady (coming soon!)—which debuted this past Spring—is back again for the holidays in a deep Obsidian. Size up for a more relaxed fit and exaggerated leg shape.
