With full sleeves and a skirt ruffle cut from dark blue calico, and a body and skirt in cream, the Simonetta’s construction is reminiscent of classic French dresses. The scooped neckline is shirred in with a flat ruffle and framed on each side by the voluminous puffed sleeve, which is lined with encased elastic for added fullness. Princess seams at the fitted bodice are cinched in with a hidden side zipper and flare out to a full skirt, whose four panels each culminate in a petite ruffle. A final ruffle at the hem of the long, airy skirt completes its countryside charm.
