24 Hours in New York with Courtney Grow

Courtney Grow has always been decisive about what she likes—and “a little pushy about getting people to try what I’m enjoying.” In 2019, just six weeks after giving birth to twins, she decided to put her stylish eye to good use, creating her well-loved Instagram account, @courtneygrow, where she shares her finds to the delight of many followers (ourselves included!). We spent a day with Courtney in downtown Manhattan, criss-crossing city blocks from Dimes Square to SoHo, with a few covert outfit changes in between.

So much of life is routine—and getting dressed is an inescapable part of that routine. You can choose to ignore the opportunity for expression, or view it as something to engage with and have a little fun.

The average day in NYC features dozens of people who are absolutely remarkable in their appearance. Whatever outfit I'm putting together is going to seem completely mainstream, regardless of how out of place it might be elsewhere.
