BTS Lookbook Shoot in Magical Byron Bay
Our Spring ’19 Collection was in large part inspired by the raw and natural beauty of the eastern Australian landscape, with its sprawling meadows and ti-tree lakes. So this November we ventured down under - families in tow - to photograph the collection in the land of farm fresh food, sweet floral breezes and crystal clear salt water. We made new friends, spent hours basking in the warmth of the summer sun, spotted countless birds in cloudless skies, and discovered why Byron Bay has always had such a mystical allure. Below are a few of our favorite moments from the shoot, and a small handful of the places & people that made our experience so memorable.
Byron Bay Guide
The Pass Beach - The beach we returned to again and again. Picturesque, and perfect for kids!
Ti Tree lake in Sullfolk Park - A stunning and perfectly secluded dunal ti-tree lake, whose copper-colored waters are said to have incredible healing properties.
Killen Falls - The most magical swimming hole with a cascading waterfall at one end - one of the last remnants of the Big Scrub Rainforest, which used to encompass the region.
Coastal Walk to Cape Byron Lighthouse - A lovely walk with stunning views! Perfect for a sunny afternoon.
Town of Bangalow - This small historical town in the Northern Rivers region was our absolute favorite! Lively, artistic and full of charm, Bangalow is a true gem!
Rae's on Wategos - A bright beachfront space - perfect for midday drinks.
Ethel Food Store - The sweetest little grocery store in Brunswick Heads with absolutely delicious prepared food.
Church Farm General Store - Our friends Andrew and Amanda set up shop in an incredibly beautiful old church that they renovated themselves (many pictures of them and the church below!). They make their products by hand, using only ingredients that they grow themselves (on their gorgeous farm!) or source from local farmers! Every one of their soaps is amazing - we also recommend trying the smoked hot sauce! If you can't make it to Byron in person to experience the magic that Andrew and Amanda have created - you can order online here (they ship to the US!).
Harvest in Newrybar - Delicious, locally sourced and seasonal food in an airy, weatherboard cottage!
