Styling the Petra with Laura Vidrequin
One of our favorite Instagram follows for sartorial inspiration, Laura Vidrequin Roso isn’t one to put a label on her personal style, which means she’s open to experimentation—often mixing denim, suede, and pops of color, through, say, a really great hat or lived-in bag. Her decisive, curatorial eye is no doubt informed by years spent in New York where she was previously a fashion buyer.
Adept at styling classics in a way that feels anything but ordinary, we asked Laura—who now lives with her family in London—to take our baby alpaca Petra Cardigan for a spin, mixing it with pieces from our newest collection and stalwarts in her own closet.
“The Petra defies its traditional reputation as a ‘classic’ piece,” French-born Vidrequin Roso says. “It’s incredibly versatile—drape it over your shoulders, tuck it into your bag, wear it fully buttoned or completely unbuttoned. Think of it like a white T-shirt—it’s a piece you can reinvent again and again.”

“Polka dots evoke memories of dreamy Italian coast holidays, lending a hint of nostalgia while remaining timeless. I’ve styled this skirt with the same cardigan, worn on its own as a top for an effortless night-out look.”

“This black dress, with its cross-body back detail, is such a power piece—it has a sleek, minimalist front, but the open back adds a striking element. The bouclé fabric makes it perfect for transitional weather, and again, layering it with a cardigan brings a touch of practicality.”

“For those in-between Fall days that are not too warm yet not too cold, I paired the Petra with denim and an open-toe slide. There’s something daring about open-toe footwear in Fall—it feels spontaneous, like you’re ready for an unexpected evening out.”
