Santa Fe with Bash Please
Paige and Kelly are inspiring women and mothers in the Los Angeles community - building a business from the ground up and, more than that, establishing a California aesthetic for events and lifestyle. Their events (Bash Please) make you want to have your wedding or 30th birthday all over again, and they have now expanded their vision through a storefront and online shoppe (shop-midland), which is filled with vintage turquoise jewels, records, smell-good every things and so much more. It's one of those places where it's hard not to touch (and purchase!) everything. We we're so thrilled when in late summer they offered to do a Journal Story in one of the places they feel most inspired: New Mexico. The colors of the landscape, their friendship through the images, and the clothes - all captured by Max Wanger - are magic. Read and see more below

"New Mexico is a place where a person feels free and natural. The rainbow sky, the dynamic clouds, the red earth, the strong sagebrush. We found it so grounding to be there together enjoying the richness of the outdoors and the sights of the local culture. Santa Fe has been a part of Paige’s life since childhood and introducing it to Kelly and seeing her light up and let go in a newfound way was so special. Many people who visit always use the expression that Santa Fe and Taos are both magical places where the air is healing and rejuvenating. We can say that we agree wholeheartedly. We completely understand why Georgia O’Keeffe and Agnes Martin and Ali McGraw and countless others retreated there permanently to live out their days. The indigenous architecture, the old churches, the Sangre de Cristo mountains, the integrity of the artisans; they all surround you with an appreciation of our heritage and a love for mother earth. Don’t be surprised if we also retreat there permanently one day."
